The Russian celebrity soccer team “Broke Boys FC” offered Pogba a recruitment offer.
British media ‘Sports Bible’ reported on the 14th (Korea time) that “Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba received an unusual offer to play for Russia’s ‘celebrity amateur team’ ahead of his return in 2025.”
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirmed Paul Pogba’s ADRV (violation of anti-doping regulations), but the suspension period will be shortened from four years to 18 months.
Juventus midfielder Pogba had been suspended for four years after samples taken after the match against Udinese found DHEA, a compound that promotes hormone production in the body, including testosterone. Pogba had stressed that he would appeal the ruling, denying the ban, saying, “I have never intentionally or deliberately taken supplements that violate doping regulations.”
And as CAS reduced Pogba’s ban to 18 months, Pogba finally succeeded in appealing. This allowed Pogba to resume training at Juventus in January and return to the Juventus first team in March.
Pogba is currently under contract with Juventus until 2026, but 꽁머니 will reportedly allow him to terminate his contract for a smooth return. Pogba, who is still just 31, is a player who can offer a lot on the field and many clubs are expected to be interested in signing him, but he has already received one unusual offer.
According to French media ‘Foot Mercato’, Pogba received an offer of recruitment from ‘Broke Boys FC’, an amateur celebrity team in Russia that is not currently recognized by FIFA. They play in the Media Football League, which is operated as an unofficial league consisting of various influencer and celebrities across Russia.
It’s not up to professional league level, but it’s attracting thousands of fans, and the Broke Boys have won in front of over 27,000 fans this year.
According to the media, Broke Boys made a specific offer before CAS decided to ease Pogba’s ban, and Pogba told Broke Boys FC that he still wanted to play for the best team in Europe.
Since Pogba’s ban was eased, Roberto de Gerby’s transfer to Marseille has also been raised, and he is also linked to the U.S. MLS, where Messi and Suarez are playing.
